Stickers

Sun & Ski Sports, like most multi-sport retailers, find it difficult to make a credible and valid connection with their audience. Yes, people will do business with retailers that have what they want at the prices they like, but when product crosses the line into passion, there is something that most brands miss. I believe that Sun & Ski can capitalize on the idea that even though we are this large national retailer, there are still individual folks within the corporate office and behind the cashier counters that love these sports. We have everything from Ironman competitors to mountain bike racers to skateboarders and everything in between. If it takes place in the outdoors, there is an employee at Sun & Ski that loves it. A fun way of expressing that cultural crossover is this sticker program.

Since the program’s development, we’ve seen a very positive reaction from not only our customers, but our employees as well. It helps to show we’re about more than just selling products; it shows we enjoy what we do and we have fun doing it. Events that we sponsor or participate in, we will develop a sticker set for them. Same for localized store openings. It helps to connect the new store location with a sense of pride and acknowledgement of the community.
